The prodrome of migraine headaches

A migraine prodrome is the very first sign that a migraine attack is underway. It can come minutes to many hours before the actual migraine headache. It can come in many forms, one of which is the aura. An aura is usually announced by a certain “feeling” that those who get them know well. Thereafter there begins a disturbance in one’s field of vision and it expands and begins to scintillate and flow in a crescent shape until it expands out of the field of vision. At that point, the migraine headache begins and can be with a sufferer for several hours and longer. The amount of time and degree of vision impairment is different for each and every aura sufferer. Other forms of migraine prodrome include symptoms that are perhaps more subtle and difficult to recognize and occur at varying times before the actual headache begins. These prodrome events are sometimes recognized by the sufferer’s family and friends before the person themselves do. Some sufferers experience no prodrome and enter directly into the headache.

A prodrome that occurs, even though usually produces the dread of knowing what has always followed, can be useful to a sufferer by giving them an opportunity to begin a treatment that may help them. This is particularly important when considering using a new clinically tested product LipiGesic® M. It has a sublingual delivery system where a sufferer pours the drug under their tongue, holds it there for at least 1 minute then swallows it. What is believed to happen is: the time the drug is under the tongue, it is absorbed directly into a concentration of blood capillaries, directly into the blood stream and is able to help expand them, right in the area around the base of the skull. Current theories about migraine occurrences believe they happen because of the contraction of certain blood vessels and to reverse that, one needs a vasodilator that produces blood vessel expansion. It has been reported by LipiGesic M users, that the sooner they treat themselves, during the prodrome if possible, their headaches have either not appeared or have been very short and mild.

The delivery systems of many prescriptions and over the counter drugs are pills. When you take a pill, the acid in your stomach destroys a certain amount of it and then, as it passes along the rest of your digestive system, it is pulled through the walls of your small intestine and filtered by your liver, which extracts even more of the active ingredients. Some of it finally makes it into your blood stream. This process can take 20 to 40 minutes. It takes quite a bit of time for the pill to finally deliver its benefits back up to where it is needed to treat a migraine.

LipiGesic M’s superior delivery system will get its all-natural ingredients directly to where they are needed. This means you should keep it with you at all times. Put some in your car, your desk at work, in your medicine cabinet … always have it close at hand so you can begin treatment as soon as your aura or your particular prodrome appears. You don’t need water to take it, just pour it under your tongue.
